Pack Rat
Our books are shipped with great care. If you have clean packing peanuts, bubble wrap and light weight packing material we can put them to good use. If you are like me, I don’t feel quite right tossing this kind of thing. Check the closet, washroom, garage and pantry, stuff it in a bag and bring it by to be reused. Pass it on.
Pass It On
We are still trading books for store credit. We will issue you a percentage of what we can sell the book for. You can use your credit right then, or we will keep a card on file for you.
There are many criteria, so we check each book. It is all subjective. If you bring a bunch, we may not be able to get to them right away, but we will call you when we have a figure, usually the next day.
Very General Guidelines:
• Mass Market Paperbacks: .25@
• Trade Paperbacks: .50 @
• Standard Hardbacks with dust jacket: $1. @
• Standard Hardbacks without dust jacket: .25@
• New Hard Back Releases in New Condition: 25% of the publisher’s price
• For the unusual, oversized or collectible books, we will make you an offer.
Sometimes a book is poor condition so we place them on the porch with the other $1 books. We can issue .25@ for these. We cannot accept Encyclopedias, magazines, National Geographic, text books or books that have been underlined or highlighted. We are not able to accept book credit in payment for some of the collectibles, rare books or books on consignment.
While you are looking for the bubble wrap, scan your book shelves. Consider bringing in books you already read several times or the one you decided not to finish. Bring them here and pick out some fresh material. Someone else may see your book on our shelf and be happy you traded it in. Pass it on.
